I don’t know how many of you are still ‘feeling the heat’ of summer, but it has been odd here in Seattle. We definitely have been feeling the heat (not that we haven’t had summers like this before) but the odd occasional cool down then the intense heat is a bit different.
I hope that you all have been having a good summer though? And I know others have already been enjoying their kids first days at school already too.
And I don’t think my own heat waves (hot flashes) have been any help! Teehee Besides my mom having some issues (which her stupid doctor has still not been able to diagnose) – sorry, but honestly that office is NOT my favorite (besides the millennial idiots and the lack of caring) even her doctor is rather crass! I digress, but that DID make me ‘hot under the collar’ too (yes, I’m trying to be funny with all the HEAT puns). But my daily walks have had to be either really early (okay, early for someone who doesn’t like getting up early) (yes I used to do it for work, but that included the coffee (sleep walk – comatose) event before going to work. THIS is the, ‘should I take ICED coffee’ with me on the walk mornings, or I have to wait until later at night (and then either use my phone for flashlight) or take the hiking headlamp (which doesn’t work so well when your sweating profusely). (See, HOT again). And now I’ve been suffering from nasty headaches and nose bleeds myself (but at least some of the achy knee/leg symptoms have subsided).
Any who – I did manage to at least continue some of my prop making (Halloween items) and of course doing this on a very tight/limited budget makes you really think harder (besides trying to salvage old props to reinvent) there’s also the great Dollar Store purchases. Here’s a hint at some of the work – and my last heat comment, IT’S HOT in the garage, especially when playing with paint, spray glue and tools! I’m ready for fall…
