Migraine was relieved (following an AMAZING massage) – not only did this little (short like me) woman, jump on the table and gave me the best deep tissue massage, she also took away the migraine! Yeah me… lol.
So, after that great early afternoon massage, I went to meet Michael at his meeting in another region – Bonaficio Global City (very impressive building). It was fun taking the taxi through the ‘real’ parts of the city (the non-glamorous, shanty parts). As I said before, these people drive FAST and it is amazing how there aren’t tons of accidents. You can see they have them, but luckily not while we were in the cars. LOL You drive past the areas where the middle and lower class live (as Prem told us) and it is just as ‘colorful’ as you imagine (I’ve seen this in Italy, Bora Bora and Mexico so it’s no surprise, just sad). Especially when I’m coming from a nice modern hotel.
I got to meet the great YOUNG people who work for Michael and his company (the call center group) and I loved getting a chance to talk to them. For me, it’s cool to see that these individuals are the same ages as our U.S. “Millennials” but most definitely not that same sad attitude. They are FRIENDLY and interested in us and damn smart!! As Prim confirmed (and Michael) most of these younger people were fortunate to have had educations, not like those of their parents. But they are similar to the M’s because they are SO attached to their cell phones, are very tech savvy (thus why they can do the job Michael needs) and are easily distracted by the latest post. LOL
We went to happy hour and then met the group at the Market Market to play Lazer Tag (this place is also non-glamorous version of another mall). (More for the real people – not like the Power Plant.) HA HA I didn’t join them, wanted it to just be for his work group, but loved seeing and hearing their excitement. Afterwards we went downstairs to Kenny Rogers Roasters (not kidding) for dinner.
I’ll share more again soon, but we are off to take the group to the beach this weekend and hopefully also do some fun activities there. THERE I can at least take photos…
But what a great group!
