Here’s the ‘final’ (for now) of the Halloween Tree (from previous post).
I will be adding more tree limbs and moss (possibly glued to base as well) once I transport it to work. Don’t want to do that this early. Note, I kinda of covered up some of the black ‘splatters’ – I didn’t like the look as much and also ‘dry brushing’ doesn’t work with house paint. The last paint was the mossy green (discounted paint) I got, it does make it a bit deeper. Mom & sister approved (they were over yesterday – Sunday) while I worked on some other items (and picked up the mannequin) for my Mars Attack alien woman. Mom is good enough to be making the dress for me. It certainly helps to have a great seamstress… love her!
We went to Goodwill and I found some ‘key’ items I needed too – small shadow box (for the Sweeney Todd razor) – I don’t want everyone ‘playing with it’ and it IS an actual blade, so very sharp. Mom found a better meat grinder, so luckily she will be giving me her old one (another great item for Todd) and some tea cups & tea pots – and even a bunny rabbit for Alice in Wonderland part.
