This morning was absolutely beautiful outside, sun peeking out and a bit of out-of-the-norm warmth. I was home with a stress stomach ache though, but managed to get outside for a while (it helps to walk and get a bit of exercise). After I got back though, the warm sun was ‘telling me’ to wash Baby Girl (aka my White Stallion – BMW 335is). HA All cars show dirt, but a white car in Seattle is like wearing white jeans here… the nasty little mud splatter. And since I’m thinking about taking her for my Galentine’s Day weekend (aka spa weekend get-away with my sister) to Canada. Baby Girl doesn’t really have trunk space, because she’s a hard-top convertible and there is a guard that the back glass rests on when you have her top down! Oooh, scandalous… hee hee. But we won’t have any passengers and with it being a weekend jaunt, our luggage will consist of backpacks.
I’m excited to take the road trip and going to a new location is always that much more fun! Can’t wait to share it with you afterward. Hanging out with my little sister will be fun, especially because we both need this. Yes, we should be with our men, but we both have been dealing with some stresses and the time spent away from them is good for them as well… Besides, I’m not really all about the over priced dinners and if a man is going to spend THAT amount of money on some roses/flowers for me, hell, buy me a few plants with that cash… seriously, for the increase in price, I could have a fabulous garden to enjoy for a lot longer.
And the food, well with my stomach issues, it wouldn’t matter the costs… ha. But I love the idea of Valentines Day and the romance behind it, but realistically I prefer creating those scenarios differently and love seeing when couples are creative about it too. Celebrate Valentines Day. And this article has some great advice (that even I could use) and don’t worry youngsters, even though it’s in More Magazine (for us Fabulous Fifties) you could use the insight as well.
I hope that each of you has a wonderful weekend and a good Valentines Day – even if your single, love YOURSELF! (And no, I didn’t mean it like that – you have a nasty mind). hee hee Truly love YOU, for being YOU. I can use that advice myself; my sister definitely was here for me this morning: “I am here to support you as much as I can, I will be her for you as your sounding board, your punching bag, your ear, your shoulder… I love you and YOU DESERVE the BEST!!!!”
Isn’t she just the best!? And it’s no wonder mom calls HER the PRETTY ONE. But she’s smart too… HA HA. As you can see, she’s stylish even while working out or hanging in the car. Thank you Monette for being my sister and my friend.
