Daughter & I spent the weekend together (I love those times, although I have to admit I worry that I bore the …. out of her), but I’m just HAPPY that she wants to spend any time with me. Poor baby, though, was a bit ‘concerned’ about my lay-off (and if it will affect my Little House). I tried to assure her that WE will be fine! But I’m glad that she has such a big heart for her old mom! Any who… we did our usual ‘getting our nails done’ time and had to go to a new salon since our usual place was closed on Monday.
So, while she had hers done, I enjoyed catching up on some magazine articles: Allure’s November 2015 magazine is their “Happiness Issue”. Not only does it have the cute Kate Hudson (whom I love her smile AND her attitude) on the cover, but this was a great article: Elizabeth Gilbert’s Unexpected Secret to Finding Happiness… (one of the best quotes/comments she made is: What’s a good way to be happier every day? “Discover a task, activity, or project that relieves you of the terrible burden of being who you are. There’s a beautiful grace in the phrase ‘to lose yourself in a project.’ You can lose yourself in exercise, in love, in charity work. Creativity is one of the ways in which you can have a break. It’s a merciful relief—a vacation from yourself. It’s such a great way to find happiness.”
Even some of the other articles are great ones to read:
And even the article with Kate Hudson is a good read.
But the nicest happiness was when Michael said he’s noticed that MY happiness has been ‘improving’…
