I love this quote (above) because it is so true to my own life. I try and create my home so that there are peaceful gathering places that exude comfort, bedrooms that have the cozy, tactile feel of relaxation. And I like to have my OWN place in my home, where I can create and be ME.
I too like beautiful things around me, I find joy in the some of the simplest of items as well – a picture of my children, a good coffee/tea cup, books, art and encouraging and amusing quotes. I love sensory items.
I’ve never considered myself a beautiful girl or woman, but I try and make sure that I take as good care of myself as I can. I do enjoy a compliment, but may not always take them well. But yes, as Maya states, when I know I look/feel good – it can lift my soul!
This quote (above) is so true! As I’ve aged, I’ve learned this is exactly true not only in my personal life, but in my professional as well. I spent my life trying to make others happy, not because I had to, but in some cases because I wanted their attention and/or love in return.
My greatest strength was knowing when I’ve left a good feeling in someones heart and mind as they did in mine!
Thank you Maya for giving my thoughts words!
