I know I’ve not been good at writing my posts, but I’ve been somewhat busy still working (mentally) on myself as well as just putzing around and crafting (okay TRYING to craft). Making more messes then anything (even Ethan says “you have a LOT of stuff” – he means JUNK – in my craft room). hee hee The latest ‘attempt’ is using some of these HEAVY laminate boards that I got (for free) back in September, as you can see I AM making messes. Trying to make some little SIGNS (for those of you who follow me here – you know I am a huge sign fan – it all started with fonts and my creative writing, back when I was in school – THAT FAR BACK). HA HA
But I’ve also been weeding whacking (taking all sorts of aggressions/frustrations out) on those darn blackberry and nasty vines that keep killing all the prettier plants. Of course, when working with what we currently have (on our rental) it is a bit frustrating since the vines seem to live better than we do.
I have to share what I found funny today in my emails:
This is an important message from the Washington State Employment Security Department.
Finding a job or starting a new career is difficult.
To make it easier, WorkSource has teamed up with Monster.com to create a powerful new website that will change the way you look for and find work.
Seriously? Trying to find a job on Monster is like looking at the ads in your newspaper. HA HA I’m OLD, but know better than this – I wonder where I FAX my resume to? (snarky remark)… besides, most of the event jobs will NOT be found online and when they are it’s more like promotional event jobs – you know, like handing out samples at Costco…
But it’s fine with me, because I’m still just enjoying putzing and working on what it is that I REALLY want to do – you know, like NOTHING! (can you tell I’m in a snarky mood)? DUH!
Actually, I’m in a GREAT MOOD – I just signed up to attend the Haven Conference (from Home Depot) in August (and I’m making Louise – aka Monette) come with me. Another Thelma and Louise trip. This one is really EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO BE DOING! It’s for DIY Bloggers. SO EXCITED – can you tell by the all caps? Isn’t the Haven logo and tagline cute too?
Besides Rachel Ashwell, here is who I ASPIRE to… Nicole Curtis
Oh and we have some SOUTHERN visitors soon – my beautiful niece Brittany (from Tennessee) will be here (again) and we get a very short visit to see my cousin Mitzi and FINALLY get to see my favorite Aunt Peggy (both from Mississippi)!! YEA HAW y’all!
Happy Friday my favorite peeps and I hope you have a FREAKING FABULOUS WEEKEND.
~Love, Looney Laura
