Besides stressing myself out this weekend, I managed to also continue to work on the props. Never-ending at this point. LOL Between damn Pinterest and just thinking up my own ideas, I keep adding to my projects. But I love the creative madness, except for when I do have some fails. But at least I know several people do – it wouldn’t be called ‘creating’ if you didn’t.
Anywho – here are a few more for me to share: 1. I added chicken wire to the inside of the Haunted tree – which definitely helped so when I add more branches to the top, it’s more stable. 2. Jack’s pants had to be ‘altered’ (lol) with a cummerbun (thank you mom) – since I added the padding to his chest, it made the t-shirt a little short. And I’ve continued the crooked stripes (it does take awhile), still not finished with the jackets. 3. I finished up the AWARDS (a request from employees from my year before Halloween – apparently a ‘fan favorite’ – but yes, after seeing some of the Pinterest options as well, I needed to add more flare to mine (the google eyes are definitely a fun must)! 4. Finally finished up the signs (these will help everyone know which movie the prop goes with) – not everyone is a Tim Burton fan as much as I am… hee hee. Mine and Michael’s favorite is still the Sweeney Todd sign – was definitely worth the extra work. Not so happy with the Charlie and Mars Attacks, but oh well. 5. Michael’s incinerator/stove was also finally completed and I started to get to paint – thank goodness for those 4 gallons of FREE paint I scored at Home Depot! I DO love when I get free things!! 🙂
There will be lots more to share in future posts and can’t wait to share the final completion and set up in the office. I purchased red felt for the barber chair and will ‘reupholster’ it today at work…
(#5) – Incinerator – Poor Michael, I had to nag him to get this ‘done’ (lol) but we had those weird wind/rain storms so I thought weather was cooling and I wanted to the painting started before then… he did a GREAT job with this.
