Saturday morning: mom came over to go with me to Home Goods store (to return the items daughter didn’t want) but also KNEW I’d end up buying more – duh! Mom loved this store too and said she could see why I enjoy it.
(scored some much-needed Caphalon pans and bought a pan for mom too)
Then we both took a nice scenic drive over to Snohomish to go to The Vintage Market Show at Swan Trail – an antique show.
I only bought another antique typewriter, to go with the Royal I received as a birthday gift one year from my son’s friend! Archer is inspecting it…
After we left Snohomish, we drove another scenic way through Woodinville and stopped rather quickly at the Woodinville Lavender Farm (past all of the wineries) and we both bought a new little plant to add to our lawns (I also got a bag of potpourri). Mom helped me plant mine in a pot to add to the rental.
We dropped off the pans & vases (no photo) and the typewriter and little plant and then we went to get dinner from Tim’s Fish Market (which we love) and I enjoyed getting mom a bit of the amazing salmon jerky – mom loved it. “In exchange” (lol) she made us some homemade tortilla’s – I have NOT learned to make them so I value when mom makes them for us! Love them fresh… (we still ate some with the salmon dinner Michael made).
Little lazy day – Michael and I did some chores, he had work to do and I put some things away and also to Archer outside to see some of the little finches that keep chirping around our trees and snapped some photos of the color in the yard:
And because of the cloudy weather, we did take a little nap in the afternoon:
But we ended the weekend with me making MORE Mexican food (lol) – homemade enchiladas and to kill off some of the fat (yeah right) ha – Michael and Ethan (his son) and I all went for a much-needed walk (our little 1 mile walk in neighborhood) and even with the little sprinkles of rain, we enjoyed some laughter and actually got enough energy to actually RACE (run) each other home…
Hope you all had a good weekend! XO
