We had a nice weekend – spent time with my lovely daughter (I’m thrilled that she still likes to spend time with me) – and we even ‘convinced’ (lol) her to join us at Tula’s – Jazz club. Ironically she shared with me that Rob (her boyfriend) actually played in a jazz band for a little bit (TOTALLY didn’t ever see that) – considering he is heavy metal (dreadlocks) now! LOL
Picked her up after work on Saturday, and we all went to eat first – at Icon Grill in downtown Seattle. Luckily we also got happy hour, so enjoyed that ($$) hee hee. She tried a Seahawk special, which was gross – too much Midori. Got them to replace with another Orange Drop instead (my choice). As you can see from our silly selfies. Poor Michael.
They have this amazing fried Mac & Cheese too (as you can see) – gut buster. Which is why I chose a Pear Salad for my dinner while the two of them had a great pasta and steak (Michael had the steak) but the pasta was too spicy for Anais, so she was lucky that he was nice enough to share (trade) with her. What a great stepdad. 🙂
Happily we strolled over to Tula’s and although there wasn’t too much of a crowd, I was thrilled to see Ms. Jacqueline Tabor (who I came to hear – again). She’s a Kobe Jazz Vocalist winner. I’m hoping that I can use her for our company holiday party (she has such a great voice and is absolutely beautiful and sweet as well.)
Daughter enjoying her little single bottle of champagne! LOL – she’s like her mom with bubbles…
We had such a nice time – even though I DID have to tell the owner to get the ‘neighbors’ (stupid people talking WHILE Jacqueline was singing) to shut the hell up! Come on, really, why do you go to HEAR music and then talk throughout the whole time! VERY RUDE… needless to say at least I didn’t embarrass Michael and Anais by getting up and kicking butts. HA HA
