As I mentioned, I took TONS of photos, but it was a perfect day for it… hope you are still enjoying? We headed toward Tower-Roosevelt and on the way, saw this cute little Pronghorn. Love the furry white bum and the horns that look like they are part of ‘her eyelashes’ (okay so Michael didn’t laugh either, but I thought it was funny)! Hee Hee
And then we got stopped (traffic jam) and Michael told me, “It’s probably a bear” – sure enough, it was and I’m glad he told me to jump out of the car and do like the rest of the tourists to take a photo! BTW – a Park Ranger was directing traffic around the edge, to keep the STUPIDS from going too close. I got as many as I could of the pretty mama Black Bear and her cub! My telephoto lens kept wanting to focus on the trees, but I got at least a couple of decent photos.
Then we came onto some mountain goats (you can see that you have to be watching EVERYWHERE to sometimes find the animals)… can you spot them? 🙂
We drove over to Lamar Valley and found two more pronghorn and the weather started to turn on us too – the strange heavy rain/slight snow… and a buffalo that scared the pronghorn away too..
Finally we got some photos of the BABY BISON/BUFFALO – too cute – as we headed closer to Absaroka Range (near the Montana-Wyoming border).
As you can see, the Bison/Buffalo are everywhere – definitely like cattle. As we drove back for the night, I asked Michael to stop so I could take a picture of the beautiful streams that also run through the valley. I love how they just have this meandering curves – so peaceful.
And of course, a few more animals – the pronghorn amongst the beautiful Aspen trees, a lone Elk and his beautiful furry horns and a few deer playing.
AND another bear – again, thankfully I captured the photos with the telephoto lens, you can barely see him amongst the dead trees.
As well as this cute baby Bison and her mom making us stop as they walked up the road.
The End…. (hee hee)…
